Master Chorale of South Florida
to Hold Auditions for the 2008-2009 Season
The Master Chorale of South Florida
will hold auditions for all voice parts on Sunday, August 10,
2008. These auditions will take place at ArtServe, 1350 E. Sunrise
Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304.
In their upcoming 2008-2009 season, the chorale
will perform Mendelssohn's Elijah with nationally renowned
soloists and the Boca Raton Philharmonic Symphonia on November
14-16, 2008, in Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties.
A concert of holiday favorites will be performed with The Empire
Brass quintet December 12-14, 2008.
In the Spring, the chorale will perform one
concert of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 with the Russian National
Orchestra at Mizner Park Amphiteater on March 15, 2009, and
will perform three concerts of American music with the Boca
Raton Philharmonic Symphonia on April 24-26, 2009.
Auditioners should prepare a piece of their
choice and bring an extra copy for the accompanist. Sight-singing
and tonal memory tests will also be given.
The Master Chorale rehearses under the direction
of Dr. Joshua Habermann every Monday night from 7:30 pm to 10
pm at ArtServe.

10, please discuss an alternate date with Carole.
